At some point in your lifetime it will be necessary, either voluntarily, or by default, to consider an investing strategy. In just the past 18 years or so we have witnessed two of the largest speculative manias in the history of the world. They are the NASDAQ Stock Bubble "Dot Com" mania and most currently the "Housing Bubble", now entering its decline phase. These cycles are best described as "Boom-Bust" cycles, brought on by easy credit and excess currency circulating within our monetary system. Money was abundant in the early stages of these trends, and a lot was lost at the end of the trends when most of the public entered the bubble! Social Security and Medicare are for the most part, bankrupt. The Comptroller General of the United States, David Walker is sounding the alarm. Who's listening? Hopefully you are.
Mainstream media, employing daily "Cheerleading" techniques, would have its viewer believe that flipping stocks or houses are sound investment vehicles. However, speculation is not the basis of a sound investing strategy. Though some may make money in the short-run, it's certainly not a strategy to develop a plan for the future.
From a strategic perspective, it is important to understand what is taking place globally. With this understanding, the current trends become visible, and one can then develop an investment strategy early in the direction of the trend. Mainstream media will expose current trends late into the cycle, after the "easy money" has been made. The big funds need buyers for their heavily promoted securities that were purchased earlier in the upward trend.
It is the purpose of this website to provide resource tools which can be drawn upon for information regarding current investing trends that are early to midway into their development stages. We are neither, bearish or bullish on the stock market, but more concerned with how and why markets are behaving as they currently do. Our focus is on hard asset investing, an investment backed by something physical as opposed to debt investing within the paper markets.
